DC Superheroes:

The Wallstreet Journal sat down with Warner executive Jeff Robinov about the future of their superhero properties.

"'Superman' didn't quite work as a film in the way that we wanted it to," says Mr. Robinov. "It didn't position the character the way he needed to be positioned."

"Had 'Superman' worked in 2006, we would have had a movie for Christmas of this year or 2009," he adds. "But now the plan is just to reintroduce Superman without regard to a Batman and Superman movie at all."

When it comes to the other properties, they are planning on imposing a Batman model.  The problem with that is that a dark scenario works for a character like Batman, but for the Superman and Green Lantern, not so much.

"We're going to try to go dark to the extent that the characters allow it," says Robinov. “That goes for the company's Superman franchise as well."

The article goes onto say that Warners is quietly adopting a Marvel framework for their superheroes.  Making individual movies that will possibly culminate in a big team up film like Justice League.

The Dark Knight:

Joblo has posted 167 pages of a shooting script for the film.  Click here to check it out.

Transporter 3:

A sequel that no one asked for has a new teaser trailer.  How do you amp up an already adrenaline filed franchise?  Add an exploding bracelet to the mix.

Highlander:

Darkhorizons reports that the upcoming remake of the Highlander franchise, might have an actual Scotsman playing the lead part.  Scotish actor Kevin McKidd (“Rome” “Journeyman”) has admitted to Dublin radio that he has been approached to star in the film.

McKidd was previously linked to the Mavel’s Thor film.
