Some very conflicting news on the new Batman film is floating around.
AICN reports that the film has going into pre-production early next year, with Nolan directing Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman.
On the other hand, IESB.net had its reporter supposedly speak to a Warner executive. “A WB exec told me directly that another Batman film is not in pre-production and is not getting ready to shoot. Not at all. We were told this rumor is total BS and that Nolan just got back from vacation and while WB is keen (duh) to make a third film, there has been no immediate conversations with Nolan and that the rumor is totally bogus.”
Which one should we believe? Probably the latter. How can a film go into pre production without a script? We all know that Chris Nolan writes/co writes his own scripts, and there hasn’t been much news on him writing a script recently.
